Our new MEP Gina Dowding, elected in May, took up her seat in the European Parliament on 1st July. It’s been a big learning curve for her, and for the other new UK Green MEPs, but that hasn’t stopped her providing regular updates on what’s happening; these are currently best seen here: (apologies to non-Facebook users)

August is a recess in the workings of the Parliament, so Gina will spending time doing liaison work around the region. She is also still both a Lancashire County Councillor and a Lancaster District Councillor, so has plenty to keep her busy! We are of course all hoping the her MEP tenure extends beyond the current Brexit deadline of end October.
