Some of the Warm Hubs available in Greenbank

Warm hubs (sometimes called warm rooms or warm spaces) are warm, welcoming community spaces, sometimes with refreshments available, where people can meet up safely. See below some of the ones available in and around Greenbank.

Smithdown Social (aka Gallery 455) is located at 455 Smithdown Road, Liverpool, L15 3JL.
All are welcome to go to the warm space that they provide each Thursday from 12-2pm, just turn up – no booking required. Light refreshments will be provided on a donation basis and books and board games will be available for visitors to use. Green Party Councillor Lawrence Brown is spending some of his Council’s ward funding to support this warm hub.

Ullet Road (Unitarian) Church is based at the junction of Ullet Road and York Avenue, L17 2AA.
The church offer ‘coffee in the cloisters’ every Wednesday and Thursday from 10.30am to 12 noon on a donation basis.

St Bede’s Church is at Fern Grove, L8 0RZ.
Lunches and activities are offered by organisations on the following Thursdays:

  • 24th November, 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
  • 8th December, 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
  • 15th December, 12.30 – 2.00pm. Lunch will be followed by a shared reading event by The Reader Organisation.
  • 29th December, 12.30 – 2.00pm.

Offering a ‘winter warmer’ soup, roll and unlimited tea or coffee for £1.00.

Granby Toxteth Development Trust is on 129d Lodge Ln, Toxteth, L8 0QF
There is a cake & cuppa session 11am-1pm on Monday 28th November.

Liverpool City Council has reminded all citizens that the libraries are open for people to use the internet, read or just browse. The closest to Greenbank ward are:

Wavertree Library, Picton Road, L15 4LP:
Open Mon & Tues 10am – 6pm. Wed 10am – 5pm. Thurs 10am – 4pm.

Allerton Library, Allerton Road, L18 6HG.
Open Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri & Sat 10am to 6pm.
