Cllr Tom Crone, in partnership with other opposition leaders had submitted a motion to support a ‘Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza’.
The pressure worked and before the council met, the five political parties held a meeting to agree wording of a motion that all parties could vote for, which clearly called for a permanent ceasefire. It passed unanimously.
