Call for vital services to be protected

Green Party Councillors in Liverpool have observed recent events in the city with a great deal of concern.

While we have no wish to get involved in the legal processes which must be allowed to progress, without undue influence from any quarter, nevertheless, it is vitally important that arrangements are put in place now to ensure Liverpool has effective leadership.

These events must not impact on the council's ability to provide vital services to residents across the city, particularly at this crucial time when the pandemic is still a major threat in our community.

Elected members from all political parties must work together, and regular briefings must commence immediately to keep senior members informed.

The city has never been in more urgent need of positive, cooperative politics and Green Party Councillors stand ready to assist in any way possible.
