- All Green Party Councillors on Liverpool City Council are amongst 850 councillors nationally who have signed an open letter opposing the use of permitted development for shale gas exploration.
- The Green Party of England and Wales is completely opposed to shale gas exploration aka fracking.
- Climate breakdown means we have to divert from fossil fuels to renewable forms of energy asap.
- Permitted development in planning terms is for minor developments such as a small property extension, not for fracking sites etc.
