Green policies for Wards in Liverpool Liverpool, a city of 450,000 people, has 30 wards, and 90 councillors.
At present, two of those councillors belong to the Green Party: John Coyne
and Sarah Jennings, both in St. Michaels Ward.
At the next elections our candidate for the third council seat in St.
Michaels will be Tom Crone. Ever since the local elections in May 2008 every ward has had a Green Party candidate in the local elections. We shall continue to contest council seats in every ward. Why should you want a Green councillor for your Ward? The Green Party not only stands for Green Politics, reducing carbon emissions and fighting climate change, or preserving biodiversity. The Green Party wants a fairer society for everybody, on a national, but also on a local level.
For Liverpool we want: All these policies affect your area directly.
